Meet the Team.

The Parndana Community Children’s Centre Governing Council is a committee of seven members.The committee formed in early 2021, and is currently working towards building and beginning the operation of a childcare centre in Parndana.

Committee members from left to right are: Kate Hacker, Rhyannon Gaskin, Kate Murray, Jacky Maringer, Meghan Cooper, Stephanie Wurst and Ella Riggs.

Kate Murray, Rhyy Gaskin, Kate Hacker and Meg Cooper all possess experience in the education sector, who bring a wealth of knowledge to specific requirements of building and operating an OSHC service.

Stephanie Wurst, our chairperson, has a background in Human Resource Management and State andLocal Government. She is experienced in interdepartmental relations, governance and project management. Steph has also completed a Bachelor of Business and is accredited through the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) Directorship Program.

Ella Riggs and Jacky Maringer’s experience in marketing, events and banking will be valuable in helping us to meet timeframes, budgets and build relationships with relevant groups and individuals.

All members of the Governing Council also have close links with the community which will ensure the success of this project, as we know we have the support of the whole community behind us. Kate Murray, in particular, is employed as the Parenting KI Project Officer. In this role she has fostered close and trusting relationships with local families, and is an asset as we move towards opening the services.
